Company Profile
Kamal Mahal's Indian Restaurant
The Kamal Mahal chain has more humble roots and began as a small takeaway restaurant in Omagh in 1991. The take-away was called "Curry in a Hurry" and built up a substantial custom during its time.
Soon the owner Kamal was able to expand and turned the Omagh take-away into a restaurant, naming it Balti Palace. It too was successful and allowed Kamal to expand further. He chose the scenic area of Enniskillen, Co.Fermanagh on Water Street to do this and in June 1994 created a one hundred seater restaurant, naming it Kamal Mahal, which means "Kamal's palace." Another restaurant was then opened in Irvinestown and due to the success of the restaurant in enniskillen, he decided to name all his restaurants with the increasingly popular name.
The largest of the restaurants remains the Enniskillen branch. It combines both contemporary and traditional decor, much like its menu which especially interested us as it seems to be a fusion of both styles.
